“I really am not sure about this. But once I’m in and that warm water comes down on me…it all starts to feel alright. Not a big fan though,” Sir Thomas letting me know through those big eyes.

“What are you doing, Sir Thomas?” I ask him as I watch him bend in all shapes. Squinting through his half-pressed eyes he tries to bring me into focus…”Try this,” he tells me, “It beats any yoga poses you plan on doing.” He knows I practice Body Flow to teach at a gym. He puts up with my continuous practice all the time. I suddenly become aware of his thoughts…he is now telling me, “Can you just let go and bend your body like me…and breath – in through your nose and out through your nose.” I now know what he is telling me – “JUST RELAX!”

Sir Thomas! I hear his soft whisper to me, “Just be. Just breath. Feel your breath rise and fall, and just stay with it. Don’t even think about anything, just follow the rhythm of your breath. Go inward and just be.” I followed his advice, sat down beside him quietly, and focused on feeling where my breath was in my body. Thank you Sir Thomas for quieting me down…

“Okay now, why don’t you sit and relax and let go. And let go of my darn leash, I’m not going to go ANYWHERE! Trust me,” Sir Thomas is winking at me and whispering into my ears. (I heard him and did as he asked). We were both enjoying this beautiful wintry grass – more him than me, for sure. The dry pointy grass needles were doing a job in my behind – sticking me real good πŸ™‚

“Look down quick and see – here’s my beautiful friend!” Sir Thomas tells me. “Yes,” I told him, “friends can be of any color, size, shape and can be totally different from you.” To that Thomas appeared to say, “I already know that!”

Someone is making sense of the fluffy white stuff… He loves the cold weather. And, I’m sensing his thoughts as we continue our walk, “I don’t anticipate a problem here, do you hear me?” Sir Thomas is insisting I hear him. So, I pay attention. He continues, “…As long as I can smell through this stuff and make this space mine, I’m going to love it!” I smiled with him…His happiness is mine! “Happy holidays and be happy every day” … Sir Thomas

Layered: Beautifully, Naturally and Perfectly!

Weekly Photo Challenge
I started my walk this morning with my best-pet-friend, Sir Thomas. We love the cool morning walks. The sun had just come up and everything was feeling, smelling and looking fresh. We were both enjoying our stroll, Sir Thomas marking his territory along the way. Suddenly, he smells something under this one particular tree…he turns around, makes me turn around, pulling me towards the tree. He, of course, marks it and he is all done ready to move on to the next spot. But my attention suddenly gets caught by these beautiful layers within this tree trunk…layered beautifully, naturally and perfectly! Nature is amazing!

Waiting – for a Touchdown!

Weekly Photo Contest
A friend trusted in my strength! And, that led to practicing and eventually successfully lifting myself into a challenging Bird Pose from Yoga. Trusting my friend has taught me to trust myself. Being patient with my body and gently inching into the pose has led me to count-on-myself to reach any goal that I set for myself! Thanks to my dear friend. (My current strength allows me to hold this pose for just a few seconds … WAITING for a touchdown!)
