In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Change.”
For several minutes, the airplane I was on, flew over some amazing mountain peaks. Β I was mesmerized! Β The pilot had announced that we would be landing soon. Β I never stopped looking out the window…I felt like I had entered into another planet! Β As I was daydreaming, an unexpected scene jumped at me –Β A sudden change:Β from a massive collection of brownish mountains, with high and low peaks, to a massive collection of tiny and long metallic geometric structures!Β Β San Francisco! Β I was over the city I was about to visit!
No reactions, no hot headed-ness, no judgments, no arguments, no attitudes. Β Kept my cool and did not react instantly. Β Was a busy day, but ended up having a good day, today!
8 AM: My husband dropped my daughter to school. Β Gave me extra time to enjoy my breakfast.
8:30 – 10:30 AM: Workout time!
11:30 AM: Checked out my daughter from school for physical therapy for an elbow injury.
12 PM:Β My daughter had lunch at a local restaurant. Β I filled out paperwork for therapy session.
1:00 PM: Therapy time! Β The therapist asked my daughter her expectations from the session. Β I quickly answered, “Good news. She wants to hear that she can go to gymnastics again.”
2:00 PM: Therapist said, “She’s all good to go to gymnastics, but she still needs to be back for two more sessions. Β That’s to make sure everything is going good as she eases into it.”
2:40 PM: My daughter goes back to school.
2:45 PM: I had my lunch – late! Β Salad with chicken, strawberries, dried cranberries. Β Yummy.
4 PM: My daughter returned home from school, played with the dogs, then got ready for gymnastics. Β Totally excited since she had missed several weeks of it.
4:15 PM: I called a photo studio to register my daughter for her senior picture session. Β After holding for 15 minutes I got a representative. Β But our connection cracking! Β Heck, I was not going to call againΒ and wait again. Β Finally got good connection, I had to be outside my house. Β I felt a big relieve!
5 PM: I called the gymnastic place to make a payment. Β The director said that she will not charge me until she sees how my daughter does today. Β I was impressed…great customer service!
5:30 PM: Took my beagle for a walk. Β My husband took our pit bull. Β Great walk!
7 PM: Β Had dinner out on the deck. Β Gave dogs chewy treats. Β Lit a candle. Β Enjoyed a beautiful cool evening.
8 PM: My daughter returned from gymnastics. Β All went well…she can continue. Β Good news! Β She had dinner…Edamame Pasta and Fruit smoothie.
9 PM: Β Daughter started on her homework. Β Dogs decided to rest. Β Husband went to play tennis. Β I sat to blog. Β Son rehearsing saxophone with a group of friends, should be coming home soon – 15 hours at school! Β Yikes.
Day is over. Β Evening has gracefully given into quiet sleepy night.
I really wanted to blog about this day. Β Everyday canΒ be like this. Β Advice: Need to keep my cool, and not react instantly in any situation!Β Since I want good days like today, I’ll be reminding myself of this advice frequently. Β Good days to you all too:)
….thank you for visiting my blog…until next time:)
Today’s walk was awesome. Β Thomas loves the cool weather and dry grass. Β He walked slow today:). Β And, he thoroughly enjoyed rolling in the grass. Β Β Then, he sat like Sir Thomas on the grass and rested for quite a while:). Β I also sat beside him until he was ready to walk back home. Β We had a blast! Β
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Monochromatic.”
I walk with one of my two dogs, Thomas, my beagle, everyday. Β I am amazed by what I see Β during these walks. Β I see so much beauty, it intoxicates me. Β I’m addicted. Β I try to capture what I see. Β I walk the same path, but the path does not offer me the same. Β Each day is a “glass full” experience for me. Β
…thank you for visiting my blog…love my blogger friends for supporting my stuff:)…see you soon!
Beautiful couple of roses! Β They look beautiful from every angle! Β They have been with me a while now. Β I can’t remember the occasion now. Β More than likely they were for my birthday or wedding anniversary or Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. Β But they have been with me for a while.
They still glow in their fresh looking pinkish orange color. Β I know one thing for sure that these were given to me with love. Β I feel the love! Β Each petal perfectly placed and perfectly dried now. Β Dried but yet giving me warm feelings every time I go past them.
They are simple and elegant. Β They have no life now, but they continue to emit beauty. Β Β When my life ends, it’ll be like these dried roses…still beautiful, emitting beautiful memories for the living!
…Thank you for visiting my blog. Β I’ll see you soon!
