Layered: Beautifully, Naturally and Perfectly!

Weekly Photo Challenge
I started my walk this morning with my best-pet-friend, Sir Thomas. We love the cool morning walks. The sun had just come up and everything was feeling, smelling and looking fresh. We were both enjoying our stroll, Sir Thomas marking his territory along the way. Suddenly, he smells something under this one particular tree…he turns around, makes me turn around, pulling me towards the tree. He, of course, marks it and he is all done ready to move on to the next spot. But my attention suddenly gets caught by these beautiful layers within this tree trunk…layered beautifully, naturally and perfectly! Nature is amazing!

Waiting – for a Touchdown!

Weekly Photo Contest
A friend trusted in my strength! And, that led to practicing and eventually successfully lifting myself into a challenging Bird Pose from Yoga. Trusting my friend has taught me to trust myself. Being patient with my body and gently inching into the pose has led me to count-on-myself to reach any goal that I set for myself! Thanks to my dear friend. (My current strength allows me to hold this pose for just a few seconds … WAITING for a touchdown!)

Corner – Navigating Myself!

Weekly Photo Challege
“Hmm! Corners make my navigation a lot more challenging,” Sir Thomas is figuring out something – “I NEED to get to that scrap of bread he just dropped…don’t you try to help (he is telling me, his mom)…because you can’t even see that bread from where you are sitting, taking my picture.” “And, another thing – Do you really need to take so many of my pictures?” I tell him softly that I’ll never stop! He seem to ignore me at this moment. That piece of bread has his full attention! And, his focus being narrowed to make his way through the corners and angles of the bench. Go for it, Sir Thomas, I say to him!

Frame – I Saw Many!

Frame
I was walking around the promenade deck on a cruise ship. I had to halt here to see these impressive lights, especially, the bright blue lights framing the ship’s balconies, all around. Frame is what I saw from top to bottom, and right to left. I was totally wowed by this!

Admiration: A Moment Lasting A Lifetime!

Admiration
Thousands of memories flooded my mind watching this one moment. This is his yearly tradition – to give his two kids balloons on their birthdays. Our son turned 17 a couple of days ago 🙂 I don’t see him stopping this tradition any time soon 🙂 🙂

VIBRANT!

Vibrant! Perfect gift from the nature!
Vibrant! Perfect gift from the nature!

I came across this wild-flower during my walk with Sir Thomas.  As he was sniffing for a spot to mark; I happened to spot this tiny wild-flower.  It was almost fall season last year, and an unusual time for this to be in bloom.  It’s VIBRANT yellow color caught my attention for sure!  And, when I enlarged this photo…the perfect symmetry blew my mind!  Our nature is amazing!

Eye Spy: photo challenge

“Eye spy humans scurrying about caring for animals inside. I spy the space I use to occupy here.” Dixie’s intent gaze reveals memories of her shelter life.

Boundaries

“I have been calm.  Calmly sitting and watching Sir Thomas.  What’s he doing?  I want to get to where he is………nope…….no luck!” Dixie thinking and planning hard to figure out this situation:)

Creepy: Weekly Photo Challenge

239

What could be creepy?  Gosh, many things –  Anything that crawls, anything that’s slimy, anything that can eat me up, and anything that can stomp me. 🙂  But hair!  Well, this hair, in this photo, looks creepy to me.  It’s like it’s growing tentacles to grab that poor colorful dragonfly and those pretty butterflies.  Fly away sweet things before you are entangled and your wings are broken.  Fly away fast.
