Corner – Navigating Myself!

Weekly Photo Challege
“Hmm! Corners make my navigation a lot more challenging,” Sir Thomas is figuring out something – “I NEED to get to that scrap of bread he just dropped…don’t you try to help (he is telling me, his mom)…because you can’t even see that bread from where you are sitting, taking my picture.” “And, another thing – Do you really need to take so many of my pictures?” I tell him softly that I’ll never stop! He seem to ignore me at this moment. That piece of bread has his full attention! And, his focus being narrowed to make his way through the corners and angles of the bench. Go for it, Sir Thomas, I say to him!

Admiration: A Moment Lasting A Lifetime!

Admiration
Thousands of memories flooded my mind watching this one moment. This is his yearly tradition – to give his two kids balloons on their birthdays. Our son turned 17 a couple of days ago πŸ™‚ I don’t see him stopping this tradition any time soon πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It’s Love Day… From, Sir Thomas

Good Valentine’s Day morning! I woke up to tell you that I LOVE YOU FOLKS, dearly. Now, go and have a good time because you are loved!” Sir Thomas’ wishes for us all πŸ™‚

No Pain, No Gain. Oh, Not This Pain!

Workout finished. Β Not exactly the way I wanted it to. Β I hurt my lower back. Β Excruciating pain. Β No idea how it started. Β It did not happen during my workout, but right after. Β Maybe while I was putting away weights, steps or risers…who knows. Β (I heard that)…it has nothing to do with my getting older! πŸ™‚

Having low threshold for pain, I immediately hit the websites – Β read, and read on lower back pain. StartedΒ treatment. Β Iced the affected area, then used heat. Β Alternated that for a good couple of days. Β Took ibuprofen as well. Β Consulted my dear websites, again. Β Next step – addedΒ some stretch exercises. Β  (I heard that, too)…I’m not going to the doctor! Β And, stop telling me what to do!

After two days, I felt well enough to try my Body Pump class. Β Using my body weight for squats and lunges; and low weight (about 5 lbs) for the rest of the class; I finished the one hour class. Β For the rest of the week – I kept low weight and focused on my form. Β The weekΒ ended well. Pain level, in control! Β (Heard that)…Awe, that’s sweet! Β Thank you for believing in my research and treatment. πŸ™‚

Source of my back pain – who knows! Β But I do know that nursing that pain, helped. Β I’m happy now – Β that much I definitely know.

…thank you for visiting my blog…until next time πŸ™‚

Weight(less)Β

My friend and I were nearing the end of our moderate rated (on scale of difficulty), 4-mile trail, on a nice cool day. Β  These rock steps were the last hike. Β Climbing against gravity to conclude our trail was a heavily weighted challenge. Β Here, my friend is reaching the end. Β Keep going friend, few more to go … you can do it! Β (She did do it.)
